Vilim launched the Company in 1995 with over 50 years of combined experience to sponsor multifamily real estate investment funds and eventually become an institutional investment manager.  Through the Company's branded multifamily property management company, Waterton Residential™, it has completed over $3.3 billion in investments in 110 separate real estate transactions involving a portfolio of over 40,000 apartment units.  All Waterton investments are made through equity joint ventures with major financial institutions, Wall Street Investment banks, and pension funds.

Waterton’s main headquarters is located in Chicago with regional offices in Dallas, Atlanta, Northern Virginia, and Southern California.  Today our company manages over 16,000 apartments that are located in 15 major markets and 13 states.  In addition, Waterton controls debt investments secured by multifamily properties with total principal balances exceeding $1 billion.
